Summary: Payscale listed the top law schools with the richest graduates.

We all wanna make some cheddar and ball harder than Steph Curry, and anyone who says otherwise is lying. So what’s one of the most surefire ways of guaranteeing a high annual salary? According to Payscale, lawyers’ earning potential correlates to what law school he or she attended. It makes sense because where you go to school determines your networking base. The website compiled a list of the best schools by its graduates’ earning potential, and no surprise here but Harvard dominated the top spot.

According to Payscale, Harvard Law graduates’ early career pay is $118,000, and mid career attorneys make on average $197,000. Interestingly enough, the next nine best schools’ graduates make significantly less starting off, but after a few years of practice, their salaries almost match those of Harvard grads.

Emory University hit second place. It’s early career attorneys make an average of $65,900 a year but their salary jumps to an impressive $195,000 during their career midpoints.

In third, University of California Los Angeles grads start off with $80,200 salaries and later earn mid-career salaries of $193,000.

Georgetown, George Washington, Brooklyn Law, and Fordham were ranked next, respectively, and their early earning potential numbers are neck and neck at around $80,000. However, the mid career money separated the four schools. Georgetown graduates earn $181,000; George Washington $178,000; Brooklyn Law $176,000; and Fordham $171,000.

Fordham tied with Tulane because of their mid career salaries, but Tulane graduates start their career with the much smaller annual pay of $66,000.

Rounding out ninth and tenth place were the California schools UC Berkeley and UC Hastings. Both schools’ graduates earn a little over $160,000 in the mid points of their career.

According to Payscale, its College Salary Report “ranks a number of the most well-known law programs in the United States by how much their alumni earn. It is important to note that our salary data is mostly based off of students who work in public law or at second-tier law firms. The top law firms in the country tend to have standardized salary, especially below the partner level, so those workers are less likely to take the PayScale Survey.”

The company said that Harvard lands in the number one spot every year, and that the other schools listed tended to be near geographic hubs like Boston, Silicon Valley, Austin and New York.
