The DOJ has filed a civil antitrust lawsuit to block the proposed acquisition of T-Mobile USA by AT&T. AT&T is ready to pay T-Mobile’s parent company, Deutsche Telekom AG $39 billion. But the DOJ is citing traditional antitrust concerns about the sale such as consumers getting poor quality in service, fewer choices and higher prices.
