Summary: A Florida man arrested for violating his probation when he was caught trying to smuggle a large number of antidepressant pills into jail through his anus.

A Duval County inmate gets to add another item to his list of charges. Joshua Fletcher, 34, was arrested on a warrant for violating his probation of a misdemeanor domestic violence charge. Fletcher had entered a guilty plea to the charge, which he was serving the probation sentence for.

When Fletcher was being booked into the Jacksonville jail, workers discovered a stash of antidepressant pills in his anus. Specifically, jailers found 54 pills of the drug Alprazolam coming from the suspect’s anus.

The large stash of pills were removed and taken to the evidence room. One of the jailers got the special job of counting the pills into and logging them into evidence.

Fletcher can add smuggling contraband into a correctional facility, a felony charge, to his problems. He is being held on $10,000 bond. He has previously been convicted of cocaine possession, credit card fraud, burglary, trespass, and marijuana possession.
