The couple was engaging in an innocent encounter in their shower around 1:45 in the morning.

Abigail was arrested on Thursday for the September 19 attack. Police booked Abigail on a misdemeanor assault charge for the attack on her husband’s genitals. The officers had responded to a domestic disturbance call of “screaming and banging” coming from their residence. When they arrived, they found Abigail, who claimed the couple had argued in the shower. Her husband was already on his way to the hospital.

The probable-cause affidavit alleges that David “received puncture marks and scratch marks to his genitals” when Abigail grabbed him by “his genitals in an effort to stop him from leaving the shower.” David pushed her away as he tried to get out of the shower, resulting in some bruises to her back. However, when police were able to conclude “that she was the aggressor in the domestic violence incident,” she was arrested.

The Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department noted that David received “hospital based care” for his injuries but did not elaborate further in the court filings.

She faces an October 19 preliminary hearing in the cities District Court. Lititz is located about 40 miles east of Harrisburg.

The couple have a four-month-old baby girl together.
