heroin bags

Summary: A suspected drug dealer surprisingly admitted to police to stashing 110 bags on heroin in his body cavity.

The amount of space 110 bags of drugs would take up is substantial. One Pennsylvania man was able to fit 110 bags of heroin in his anus. The police that arrested 32-year-old Corey Davis certainly received a surprise they weren’t expecting.

Davis is a suspected drug dealer that Scranton police had been following. During an undercover operation, Davis and another man were arrested. Even more notable than the large amount of drugs found was the location that Davis was arrested. He was across the street from a downtown Scranton landmark, the Pennsylvania Paper & Supply Company’s tower. The landmark is shown in the opening credits of the television comedy “The Office.”

The criminal complaint details how police were led to Davis. A confidential informant with the Lackawanna County Drug Task setup a $500 heroin buy with Jason Kohut, 44. Investigators allege that Kohut directed the buyer to meet him on a Scranton street. Kohut parked his Cadillac Escalade nearby with Davis in the front passenger seat.

Undercover cops approached the SUV and spotted an empty drug packet frequently used for heroin near the driver’s seat. After searching the vehicle, several hypodermic needles were found as well as additional empty heroin packets.

The suspects were taken to Scranton police headquarters where Davis admitted to the location of the hidden drugs. He willingly removed the “110 glassine packets of heroin from his anus.” The heroin was packaged in two “bricks” and one “bundle.” Davis faces three felonies and two misdemeanors.

Davis is being held on $100,000 bail at the Lackawanna County Prison. His next hearing is set for October 6 in Magisterial District Court.
