The FBI is steamed about these pressure cookers, ever since the Tsarnaev brothers deployed two pressure cooker bombs to injure hundreds of people at the Boston Marathon. The metallic cooking devices have inadvertently assumed the shape of evil in the popular imagination, so that when a Saudi student, Talal al Rouki, living in Michigan, walked through his neighborhood carrying such a nefariously innocuous device, a neighbor heatedly called the police, and soon the hapless student was visited by the FBI, as Mail Online reported.

The dish in question wasn’t composed of gun powder, ball bearings, and nails, but a more traditional Saudi Arabian rice dish called Kabsah. The incident raised quite a deal of interest in the Saudi journal, Oukaz, and has naturally put pressure on such innocent and friendly American citizens and visitors who wouldn’t mind serving wholesome food in their own neighborhood.

“They asked me about my major, when I arrived in the US and what I do in my spare time,” he told the Saudi newspaper.

He also reported that an FBI agent warned him: “You need to be more careful moving around with such things, Sir.”

Indeed, due care is necessary, as they are heavy, and dropping a pressure cooker might dent the pot. Other than that – not much more care need be expended on the free use of a cooking pot.
