A man from the Chinese southeastern Guangdong province went to a local hospital after a live eel got stuck inside his body, according to The Sun. The man, who has not been identified, is a porn addict. He decided to stick the live eel into his anus after he saw it happen in a porn movie he was watching. He sat through surgery all night to have the eel removed from his body.

The eel wound up chewing through the man’s colon, cutting the man’s large intestine, and then got stuck in the man’s body cavity. According to the medical team that worked on the man, the eel was “simply trying to find its way out.”

The eel was alive when it was taken out of the man’s body, but died not long after it was removed. The man is still in the hospital and could be facing animal cruelty charges.

The eel, which is an Asian swamp eel, is typically sold at food markets in East Asian countries. The eel is shaped like a snake and is sold while still alive.

A problem like this has happened in the past. In New Zealand, a man had to have an eel taken out of his anus back in 2012. A Chinese man died in 2010 after an eel was put into his anus by his friends.
