Mama June is definitely a unique character, but now she’s done something that shocks even her biggest fans: she’s dating a man who was just released from prison for molesting one of her relatives.
According to TMZ, 53-year-old Mark McDaniel was convicted for aggravated child molestation in 2004. Prosecutors revealed that he forced oral sex upon an eight-year-old kid, and that June was McDaniel’s girlfriend at the time of the horrific incident. The child remains nameless, but sources say that it is a child that Mama June knows well.

McDaniel served a ten-year sentence and was released in March. He is now listed on the sex offender registry in Georgia. Although Mama June has tried to sneak away from “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” television cameras, she’s been seen with McDaniel. She’s even been caught buying him gifts. Just a few weeks ago, a photo was snapped of a hotel room where June, McDaniel, and others were spending time together.
TLC, the network that produces the hit show, stated, “TLC is not currently in production on HERE COMES HONEY BOO BOO. We are very concerned about this new information and are reassessing the future of the series.”
