The Washington D.C. based law firm Patton Boggs is found to be at a conflict of interest. The law firm was brought in to assist with the plaintiff side of the Chevron Ecuador case. However, Patton Boggs was found to have lobbied with Chevron last summer. Patton Boggs became involved with Chevron after the firm acquired the Breaux Lott Leadership Group. Patton Boggs is trying to convince the court that they are not in a conflict of interest since the acquisition was made before they joined Ecuador.
