Dechert partners James Elacqua and Andrew Thomases have left the firm to join Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in Silicon Valley. James Elacqua won a $57 million verdict in August for his client Medtronic Inc. against AGA Medical Corp., and then scored a settlement with W.L Gore & Associates Inc. later in the same month. Thomases has worked with Elacqua for a long period of time and developed an International Trade Commission practice.
