Lillian Carter, wife of Terry Carter, the businessman killed, alleges in her suit that the death was a preventable tragedy and the negligence of Universal Studios is to blame.

The suit, represented by attorney Carl E. Douglass, with Carter’s two adult daughters also as plaintiffs, claims “They were all aware of Suge’s violent past and his propensity for violence. We allege it was foreseeable that some confrontation would occur.”

The suit claims the accident, for which Knight’s attorney, Thomas Mesereau, has said, “Mr. Knight denies any liability whatsoever. He was defending himself at all times,” was in fact inevitable, or that Universal Studios should have known that the tensions between Knight and Dre would escalate into something heated.

Evidently some sort of fight amidst the men preceded the car accident. The suit alleges that Cle “Bone” Sloan, an advisor for the film who was to help negotiate with gang members of Compton to allow the film to be safely shot, had been fighting with Knight as well, and so is accusing his hire as negligent.
