Season 6 of Dexter is still months away and I’m suffering from withdrawals.  So much so that the first thought that ran through my head when I learned that DLA Piper is opening a Miami office was “Good, now Dexter has more options if he gets caught”.  It’s going to be a long summer.

Unfortunately for my favorite blood spatter analyst/serial killer, DLA Piper’s new office will not be focusing on criminal defense, but rather is part of the firm’s strategic plan for Latin America and will open in conjunction with an office in Caracas, Venezuela.

The Miami office will be opened with international arbitration lawyers Pedro J. Martinez-Fraga and C. Ryan Reetz, both of whom will join the firm on March 1 from Squire Sanders & Dempsey.  In Caracas, DLA Piper has reached an agreement with InterJuris Abogados SC, who will now operate as DLA InterJuris Abogados.
