Law firm leaders in the Northeast are invited to a one-day Managing Partner Forum at the Harvard Club of Boston on Nov. 4, according to a press release from TheRemsenGroup and Law Practice Consultants. The inaugural conference is titled “The Need to Lead” and will focus on providing practical skills and insights on how managing partners can become effective leaders.

“We have assembled many of the best and brightest legal industry experts and consultants who will offer valuable guidance and information,” said John Remsen, Jr., president and CEO of The Managing Partner Forum and President of TheRemsenGroup.

Paul Clifford, Esq., founding partner of Law Practice Consultants, LLC, said strong participation is anticipated because “the role of the managing partner is especially critical during a challenging economy.”

The Forum’s keynote presentations will be “Evolution or Revolution? – The State of the Legal Industry” by Darryl Cross, vice president  of client profitability for LexisNexis; and “Update on The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Value Challenge” by Susan Hackett, Esq., senior vice president & general counsel for ACC.

There will also be private sessions titled dubbed Managing Partner Idea Exchanges that will be broken down by firm size. Each group will consist of between 15-18 managing partners.
