Earlier today we reported rumors that up to 80 people might get laid off today at King & Spalding.
We now learn that by the end of the business day, the body count was 37 lawyers and 85 staff.
A severance package is being offered to the laid off workers.
King & Spalding has 13 offices, including in Dubai and Frankfurt.
King & Spalding was founded in Atlanta in 1885. Its clients include Georgia blue chip companies, from Coca-Cola and Home Depot to SunTrust, as well as General Motors and Ernst & Young.
