Former Partners in Alston Bird Launch New Firm

Four former partners in Alston & Bird have launched Mowrey Meezan Coddington Cloud. The new firm, with offices in Atlanta and Washington D.C. will focus on environmental, climate change and energy issues.

Bob Mowrey, Dave Meezan, Kipp Coddington and Doug Cloud bring over 60 years of BigLaw experience to the new firm. Mowrey chaired two practice groups while at Alston & Bird and helped build that firm’s reputation for environmental services; Meezan is a former chair of the Georgia State Bar Environmental Section; Coddington is considered a leading climate and energy lawyer, while Cloud brings experience defending clients in federal and state enforcement proceedings.

“We formed this venture to provide clients with focused entrepreneurial legal services on cutting-edge environmental, climate change, and energy issues,” Bob Mowrey said in a news release. “The legal market has changed significantly over the past several years, and we took this step to maximize our ability to meet and exceed our clients’ needs and expectations.”
