In May we reported that Las Vegas, Nevada’s Kummer Kaempfer was losing founding partner Thomas Kummer and managing partner Michael Bonner, along with other lawyers and staffers. The group planned to defect to Greenberg Traurig’s crosstown office in this month.
Now the move has taken place, and details are available. Former Kummer Kaempfer partners Mark Ferrario, John Brewer, John Jeppsen, Brandon Roos, and Gregg Vermeys have joined Greenberg Traurig along with Kummer and Bonner; and Tami Cowden and William Wray have come along as of counsel.
Eight associates have joined as well.
The new group focuses on business law, corporate and securities, gaming, litigation, and real estate.
Kummer Kaempfer Bonner Renshaw & Ferrario is still operating under that name, led by founding partner Chris Kaempfer.
Greenberg Traurig LLP is an international, full-service law firm with more than 1,800 attorneys and governmental affairs professionals in the US, Europe and Asia. The firm was selected as the 2007 USA Law Firm of the Year by Chambers & Partners.
