Quarles & Brady Continues to Add Attorneys at Indianapolis Office

The new office for Quarles & Brady opened in the BMO building in Indianapolis last month. Linden Barber is the managing partner of the office. Barber said that the office is working 10 floors down from the floor it will call home because of renovations, according to the Indianapolis Business Journal.

“The corners are all democratic. There is no corner office in Indianapolis at Quarles & Brady,” said Barber. “No one’s going to quarrel over who gets which office.”

Nine attorneys have joined the firm at the newest location, but there will be room for some 30 attorneys once renovations are complete.

“We look at the vibrant economy of Indianapolis and what those areas of the economy are, and we really think they’re in intellectual property, they’re in health care, they’re in manufacturing,” Barber said. “We saw this as a good fit to offer services in a more robust way to our clients. We’re going to follow our clients and give them a legal firm that will enter into partnership with them to help them succeed.”

According to officials from the firm, some of its clients in Indiana include Emmis Communications Corp., Hoosier Energy Rural Electric, and Just Marketing Inc.

“The firm has taken a very strategic approach to what are our clients’ needs and where are we going to have offices,” Barber said.

Barber said that the growth of the local office will happen through recruiting, lateral hires and even the hiring of recent law school graduates.
“You’ve got a lot of home-grown talent here,” said Barber.
