Quarles & Brady LLP Announces Opening of Indianapolis Office

The ninth office in the United States for the law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP has opened in Indianapolis, according to a press release from the firm. The office is in the BMO Harris Plaza on North Pennsylvania Street.

“We are excited to have an Indianapolis platform to serve our clients and bring the strengths of our firm to serve the Indianapolis business community,” law firm chair Kimberly Leach Johnson said. “The Indianapolis attorneys joining our firm, as well as our attorneys from other offices who will spend significant time in Indianapolis, are veterans of the legal industry, with particular strengths in litigation, regulatory and transactional health care, financial services, intellectual property, product liability and toxic tort defense, and middle-market consultation, augmenting some of our signature areas of practice.”

The law firm welcomes Joshua B. Fleming, Daniel M. Long, Lucy R. Dollens and Joel E. Tragesser to the new office from Frost Brown Todd as Indianapolis litigation attorneys. They will all be partners at the new location. Kristen L. Gentry will work in the new office as well. Gentry comes from Krieg DeVault . Gentry also joins as a partner.

“My partners and I are excited to be a part of Quarles & Brady’s effort to offer the firm’s core strengths in key practice areas to our clients in Indiana,” Fleming said. “Quarles has a national reach, combined with an engrained Midwestern culture that goes back more than a century, which we believe Indiana-based clients will find very appealing.”

The opening of the office in Indianapolis strengthens the practice of Randall R. Fearnow, Edward D. Rickert, Jeffery M. Monberg and Mark W. Bina. All of them joined the firm in April from Krieg DeVault.

“Quarles is a great platform for serving our Indiana clients,” Fearnow said. “We have interconnected offices across the country and a tight network of attorneys serving clients in every major area of law, plus a number of specialty practices in significant or fast-growing areas such as financial services, health care, franchise, IP litigation, research institutions and outside general counsel services.”

D. Linden Barber, the firm’s Director of DEA Compliance and Litigation, will move his nationwide practice to the new office from Washington, D.C. Barber will work as the office’s managing partner.

“I joined Quarles, several years ago, knowing the firm’s core strengths could one day be a great benefit to the business community of Indianapolis,” said Barber. “That day is here. It’s great to hit the ground running with our key local talent, not to mention the depth of our nearly 500 attorneys across the country.”
