Carlos Romero, 31, has been charged with misdemeanor sexual activity with an animal after being arrested on Monday by police in Ocala, Florida. According to reports, a witness saw Romero with his pants down ‘up against the rear of the donkey’ sometime last month. According to reports, when Romero saw the witness he backed away from the donkey and pulled his pants up.
Romero was questioned by detectives from Marion County on Friday and Romero said that when the donkey is in heat he stands behind it, scratches its withers and masturbates. Romero claims that he “likes the way her fur feels on his privates.” He also admitted to detectives that he has done this act five or six times. Romero said “Florida is a backwards state and people frown on zoophilia here.”
Romero purchased the donkey, named Doodle, two months ago. Animal control removed the animal from his property. “I want my donkey back. There’s got to be due process here. I paid $500 for her,” Romero said in front of a judge at Marion County Jail on Tuesday.
From jail, in an interview with Ocala.com, Romero said that animals “are usually there for you,” “do not seek other pleasures” and they are “100 percent honest.”
