Real Estate Agent Sentenced for Mortgage Fraud Scheme

Jenniffer Veneable, a real estate agent of Beavorton Oreon was sentenced to five years probation and fifteen thousand dollars in restitution relating to her wire fraud conviction on thirteenth January 2011. Ms. Veneable was working as a real estate agent for John L. Scott Realty. Simultaneously she began assisting Richardson Equities LLC to purchase real estate. She also engaged in mortgage fraud scheme in which she assisted Nicolas Cooper to purchase a residential property located in Gladstone, Oregon.  A year ago, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Oregon Department of Finance and Corporate Securities, United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) and the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) began Operation Stolen Dreams, to put an end to mortgage fraud. The case against Veneable were investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Portland Division, and prosecuted by Assistant U. S. Attorney Scott Erik Asphaug.
