Scott Pierpont has been named partner in the banking and finance practice of global firm Jones Day. Prior to joining Jones Day, Pierpont was a partner in Mayer Brown. He will serve in Jones Day’s New York office.
Pierpont’s practice includes representation of financial institutions, asset managers, hedge funds and investors among others. He most recently represented clients in international finance transactions from China, India and East Asia.
“Scott’s work advising clients on projects in Asia is a perfect complement to the firm’s global structure,” said Willis Goldsmith, partner-in-charge of Jones Day’s New York office.
Jones Day has more than 2,500 lawyers and 32 offices worldwide.
