After losing four partners last week, Cooley Godward Kronish is picking up three new partners in Palo Alto. Heidi Keefe, Mark Weinstein and Mark Lambert, all IP litigators, are moving from White & Case. Cooley is a technology firm and hasn’t been known for its IP practice since the departure of a group of IP litigators ten years ago, but they have slowly been rebuilding the practice and now have about 100 lawyers doing IP work.
Both Cooley and White & Case are doing some work for Facebook, which facilitated the connection between the trio of IP litigators and Cooley. Although smaller in size than White & Case, Cooley offers more local connections with tech companies like Facebook.
