Alston & Bird Reduces Associate Pay By $5K

Today Atlanta’s Alston & Bird informed its associates that the firm is reducing all associate salaries by $5,000.

At this time, the firm expects to reverse the salary cut at the end of the year.

In April, Alston & Bird laid off 14 lawyers and 38 staff, but offered the lawyers affected what amounts to a public interest fellowship, and the possibly of being rehired at a future date.

Alston & Bird LLP is the second largest law firm in Atlanta, Georgia and the 43rd largest in the United States. Founded in 1893, the firm has offices in Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina; New York City; Washington, DC; Dallas; Los Angeles, the Silicon Valley and Ventura County.
