“Human Ken Doll” Has Had More Than 50 Cosmetic Surgeries

Summary: Many believe the “Human Ken Doll” may have an addiction to plastic surgery after receiving his 50th surgery on his face but he states he could stop whenever he wants.

After going under the knife 50 times in an attempt to create the perfect face, Rodrigo Alves has no plan to stop. He has earned the nickname “The Human Ken Doll” but critics that believe he has gone too far with the extreme plastic surgery procedures.

Alves, 33, has been recovering for the past few weeks from an SMAS facelift, a neck lift, and eye lifts – three surgeries in one day. He appeared on the latest episode of This Morning where hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes expressed concerns over the amount of surgeries Alves is putting himself through.

Alves said, “There’s no such thing as being addicted to plastic surgery. It’s constant, it’s like getting an MOT on a car. Most of us try and change ourselves somehow, I took it to a different level. I’m a different person, now my soul matches my body.” He went on to claim, “Plastic surgery made me the person I am today. I want to be the best person I can with the help of plastic surgery.”

When asked about how he pays for all the surgeries, Alves explained that he pays for everything out of pocket using his inheritance. He said, “My grandparents left me with property, I am very blessed, and I used to be a flight attendant and now I have two shows on TV, one here and one in the USA. This is how I pay for all this surgery.” He has spent over £373,000 on the procedures.

Recovering for his last surgery has not been a cup of tea either. Alves calls his 50th surgery “the worst surgery of his life.” He could not to eat solid food in order to prevent stitches from busting open causing infection, he could not shower for 11 days because the steam could dilate blood vessels in his face causing hematoma, he could not lift anything or bend, and he had to sleep at a 45 degree angle to ensure good blood flow even though it made his butt hurt. Even with all these hardships, he says he is thrilled with the results and that the pain is worth it.

“Now I look 19 years old,” Alves said. “There is still some bruising and swelling but it feels tight, like I’ve had Botox all over. I am very happy with the results.” His 47th surgery was to move fat to his buttocks as he attempts to achieve physical perfection. The reason for this surgery was to get the Brazilian bum he always wanted. “The gym doesn’t work for me at all, I have a hormone dysfunction and my body doesn’t build muscle,” said Alves. “So if I want to modify my body, I need to go on a very extreme diet and surgically get fat moved from one part of my body to another part.”

The Brazilian is applying to be the official world record holder, claiming he has had more surgeries than the current title-holder, Cindy Jackson. The Guinness World Records has Cindy, 60, at 47 cosmetic procedures since 1900. The American has spent £53,148 on her work.
