Denny’s Workers Fight Over Hard-Boiled Egg

Summary: Police were called to a South Carolina Denny’s to break up a fight between two workers over a hard-boiled egg.

Two South Carolina Denny’s workers got into it over a hard-boiled egg, requiring a police officer to break it up. A sheriff’s deputy responded to the 911 call of a “disturbance between employees” around 10:30 pm in Spartaburg.

The argument involved 56-year-old Nancy Michelle Kirkpatrick and Quarisha Dre’Shawn Fenn, 21. Fenn claims that Kirkpatrick called her a “b****” so she then called her own mother. Fenn’s mother, Tosha Marie Lightner, 47, showed up at the Denny’s restaurant and joined in on the fight.

Lightner and Kirkpatrick began arguing and apparently Lightner even threw a tape dispenser at Kirkpatrick. Although she was not hit by the tape dispenser, she could have pressed assault charges against Lightner.

The police report did not explain why the women were fighting over a hard-boiled egg. It only takes a few minutes to cook one unless it was the last egg in the restaurant, which is unlikely for a restaurant that specializes in breakfast items.
