His lawyers across the country are defending him against a ruined reputation as well as staying out of prison from several sexual abuse allegations. A criminal case threatens to destroy Cosby stemming from the claim that he drugged and sexually violated Andrea Constand at his home in Philadelphia over ten years ago. Should he get convicted, the 78-year-old Cosby could face ten years in prison.

Cosby is attempting to convince the Pennsylvania Supreme Court that a promise was made that he would never be prosecuted. Cosby is also facing two sexual assault lawsuits, numerous defamation claims, and two disputes regarding whether his homeowner policy will cover legal expenses or not.

The lawsuits and disputes stretch from Los Angeles to Worchester, Massachusetts to Pittsburgh. Cosby has had around 24 lawyers working for him in the various courts ranging from local courts to federal appeals courts. The attorneys have flown from one place to another to attend hearings regarding if any actions can be taken against Cosby since Constand reached a financial settlement with him in 2006 with a confidentiality agreement.

Cosby’s insurance, AIG, has been forced to pay $2 million for his legal bills and is fighting the excess liability coverage of $35 million to be used. They argue that their policies exclude sexual assault charges.
