The Future for Bill Cosby Looks Bleak

Summary: Bill Cosby’s admission to purchasing sedatives to give to women was unsealed from his civil case with Andrea Constand, making his legal future bumpy.

With the criminal statute of limitations out on most of the rape charges against Bill Cosby, he will still face severe consequences. Cosby has admitted to attaining drugs in order to give to women he wanted to have sex with. The admission is the ammunition the accusers needed to achieve a level of vindication for being called liars.

While most accusations were from assaults in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, Chloe Goins says her assault was in 2008 at the Playboy Mansion. She just came forward last year to the Los Angeles police but her case is the only one right now that can bring a criminal charge.

Cosby’s admission to getting drugs came in his sworn disposition for the Andrea Constand civil suit in 2005. Cosby was not criminally charged because there is no independent evidence to prove the accusations, which Pennsylvania requires since a suspects statement is not admissible without it.

The admission of attaining the seven prescriptions of sedatives for the intent of giving them to women he wanted to sex with is not an admission to actually drugging any women. However, there is still a strong chance that Cosby will have to face civil cases.
