Trump Supporter Has No Regrets for Sucker Punch

Summary: The Trump campaign has attracted a slew of racist followers that are not afraid to resort to violence when opposition gets in their way.

Some of the supporters of Presidential candidate Donald Trump are not the friendly type. One such man, 78-year-old John McGraw, is one such man. At a North Carolina rally the elderly Trump supporter sucker-punched a protestor.

The cowboy-hat-wearing McGraw defended his actions during an interview with “Inside Edition” that, “We don’t know who he is. He might be with a terrorist organization.” McGraw also gave a warning to the victim, “Next time we see him, we might have to kill him!”

The punch was caught on camera and proves to be another example of how protestors and media members that attend the Trump rallies are subjected to violence. The punch by McGraw came as cops were escorting 26-year-old Rakeem Jones out of the rally.

The video shows McGraw, dressed in a black leather vest with a cowboy hat and ponytail, sit back down in his seat to the happiness of those around him that he threw a dirty elbow punch. McGraw believed that Jones deserved to be punched because he was not acting like an “American.” He explained during the interview, “You bet I liked it, knocking the hell out of the big mouth.”

McGraw was later arrested for assault and battery, disorderly conduct, and communicating threats. Family members described him as a short tempered retired horse handler, “He’s a complex man. He’s a strange man. In some ways he’s a good person. He can also scare the hell out of you.”

Cumberland County Sheriff Earl Butler said, “No one should be subjected to such a cowardly, unprovoked act as that committed by McGraw. Regardless of political affiliation, speech, race, national origin, color, gender, bad reputation, prior acts, or political demonstration, no other citizen has the right to assault another person or to act in such a way as this defendant did.”
