Summary: Donald Trump’s campaign manager turned himself in to Florida police on Tuesday after being charged with a battery misdemeanor.

Donald Trump’s hyper masculine persona has seemingly trickled down to his staff. MSNBC reports that Trump’s presidential campaign manager turned himself in on Tuesday after being charged with misdemeanor battery.

Michelle Fields, a former reporter for Breitbart, filed charges against manager, Corey Lewandowski. She claimed that he pulled her arm when she tried to ask Trump a question at a Trump event in Jupiter, Florida.

The Jupiter police department released a video allegedly showing Lewandowski’s grabbing Fields.

Trump commented on the video. On Twitter, the Republican presidential frontrunner said, ““Wow, Corey Lewandowski, my campaign manager and a very decent man, was just charged with assaulting a reporter. Look at tapes – nothing there!”

Fields promptly tweeted back, “Because my story never changed. Seriously, just stop lying.”

This isn’t the first time, Lewandowski has gotten into trouble. According to Buzzfeed, he has “accused of pushing a CNN reporter who tried to ask the candidate a question; physically confronting an aide for a rival campaign in a post-debate spin room; publicly shouting threats over the phone at a restaurant; making sexual comments about female journalists; and calling up women in the campaign press corps late at night to make unwanted romantic advances.”

Last week, Lewandowski was accused of grabbing a male protestor by the collar at a Trump event. Before that, rumors swirled that campaign staff were concerned about his temper and leadership and were planning a coup against him.

Judging from Trump’s supportive Tweet, MSNBC predicts Trump will likely not fire his right hand man, no matter how handsy he gets.

ABC News states that a first-time battery misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
