Blank Rome Welcomes Frank Kaplan and Ken Meyers

Summary: The law firm of Blank Rome announced today that Ken Meyers and Frank Kaplan have joined the firm.

The law firm of Blank Rome LLP has announced that Frank Kaplan and Ken Meyers have joined the firm as partner and Of Counsel, respectively.

The two will work in the firm’s Corporate Litigation group, according to the press release.

Kaplan’s practice focuses on securities, class action, unfair competition, insurance, professional liability and partnership issues. He has experience at the appellate and trial levels.

“We are happy to welcome Frank and Ken to our Los Angeles office. Litigating before state and federal courts for nearly 40 years, Frank brings notable trial experience to Blank Rome and will enhance the Firm’s trial capabilities across practices,” said Alan J. Hoffman, Chairman and Managing Partner. “We established a California presence in 2009 to better meet the needs of our West Coast and Asian clients. Earlier this year, we significantly expanded our West Coast presence with the addition of 18 attorneys in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Through the addition of Frank and Ken, we are continuing our strategic growth on the West Coast and in key markets.”

Meyers focuses his practice on coverage disputes involving environmental liabilities, professional liability, disability policies, general liability, property, workers’ compensation, and disability and health policies.

“After meeting with partners from the New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles offices, I was extremely impressed with the caliber of individuals at the Firm,” said Mr. Kaplan. “In addition, Bill Small is a former colleague of mine and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with him again at Blank Rome.”

Kaplan earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School and Meyers earned his law degree from the University of California Berkeley School of Law.
