Kramer Levin Welcomes Christine Willgoos to the Firm

Summary: The law firm of Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel has announced that Christine Willgoos joined the firm in its intellectual property practice.

The law firm of Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP announced late this week via press release that Christine Willgoos joined the intellectual property practice as special counsel.

Willgoos represents clients in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. She comes to the firm from Paul Hastings.

“Christine has a deep understanding of biochemistry and molecular biology that has helped her achieve many impressive patent litigation wins for her pharmaceutical and biotech clients,” said Peter A. Abruzzese, chair of Kramer Levin’s Intellectual Property practice. “She is a great addition to our firm and will provide tremendous value to our clients.”

Willgoos is in charge of appellate and trial teams in Hatch-Waxman and biologic drug litigation dealing with blockbuster drugs.

She has handled cases involving drug development, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, recombinant DNA vectors, molecular and cellular biology, humanized antibody technology, dermatologic drugs and antidepressants.

“Working with Kramer Levin’s exceptional IP group and deep team of litigators provides an exciting opportunity to expand my practice and offer my clients a wide range of services,” Willgoos said.

Willgoos earned her law degree from the Boston University School of Law. She attended the State University of New York College at Geneseo for her biochemistry degree and George Washington University for her Master of Forensic Science in Forensic Molecular Biology.
