Foley & Lardner LLP Adds Joe Jacquot to Consumer Financial Services Practice

Summary: The law firm of Foley & Lardner announced on Monday morning that it has added Joe Jacquot to its Consumer Financial Services Litigation Practice.

The law firm of Foley & Lardner LLP announced earlier today that Joe Jacquot has been added as a partner in the firm’s Consumer Financial Services Litigation Practice, according to a press release.

Jacquot has worked as the deputy attorney general of Florida and as the chief of staff for the Florida Attorney General from 2007 to 2011.

Of late, Jacquot served as the senior vice president and corporate counsel to a Fortune 100 company operating in the financial services industry.

Jacquot has also worked for the United States Senate Judiciary Committee. At this job he served as the deputy chief counsel, in which he oversaw constitutional and legislative matters.

“We are thrilled to welcome Joe to the Foley team. His extensive consumer financial services background and experience with the Florida Attorney General and U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee will provide additional depth to our practice and a unique vantage point for our clients,” said Michael Tuteur, chair of Foley’s Litigation Department.

Jacquot will be responsible for consumer financial services litigation at Foley. He will handle mortgage services, issues with the Dodd-Frank Act and concerns with consumer protection.

“We look forward to working with Joe, whose comprehensive knowledge of legislation, public affairs and advocacy related to consumer financial issues will be invaluable to our clients,” said Martin Bishop, co-chair of Foley’s Consumer Financial Services Practice.
