Briggs and Morgan Adds Former Minnesota Justice Helen Meyer

Briggs and Morgan P.A, a law firm with offices in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, recently announced that Helen Meyer, who served as Associate Supreme Court Justice for the Minnesota Supreme Court from 2002 to 2012, has joined the law firm. Meyer will be a part of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Business Litigation practice groups of the law firm.

Briggs and Morgan is a respected firm in the state and is a founding member of Lex Mundi. It ranks among the NLJ 250 and has been recognized by Corporate Counsel as a “Go-To Law Firm.”

Prior to joining the court, Meyer worked as a civil litigation attorney and mediator for two decades. After resigning from the court, Meyer joined William Mitchell College of Law as a distinguished jurist-in-residence. She currently serves on the board of trustees of the law school.

Meyer is a member of the Advisory Board for Minnesota Women Lawyers and is co-chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Task Force on the Future of Legal Education. She has been awarded the Rosalie E. Wahl Justice for Children Award from the Children’s Law Center; the Distinguished Jurist Award from the Academy of Certified Trial Lawyers; and the Outstanding Service to the Profession Award by Minnesota Lawyer.

She received her JD from William Mitchell College of Law and completed her BA from the University of Minnesota.
