Solange, the sister of Beyonce, assaulted Jay Z and the entire attack was caught on camera inside an elevator, according to TMZ. Solange was kicking and swinging at Beyonce’s husband.
The incident occurred last week during an after party for the Met Gala at the Standard Hotel in New York City. All three people walk into an elevator and then Solange loses it on Jay Z. She began screaming at him prior to unleashing her physical attack.
A reported bodyguard tries to hold Solange back from Jay Z, but she is able to connect at least three times during the altercation. Solange strikes Jay Z with her foot, which he grabs, but he never strikes her. Beyonce does not get involved in the altercation.
During the video, you can see the bodyguard hitting the emergency stop button when the elevator is on the 12th floor. It is assumed that this was done to keep the fight private.
Jay Z was even hit with Solange’s purse during the attack. The contest of the purse were thrown all over the floor. The group leaves the elevator, but Solange is able to take a couple of parting shots at Jay Z. When they exit the building, Beyonce and Solange get into one care while Jay Z gets into a separate vehicle. It is still not known what caused the fight.
