Zac Efron in Rehab for Cocaine Abuse

Zac Efron checked himself into rehab not because of alcohol, but rather for a more serious addiction problem with cocaine. According to TMZ, the young actor’s drug problem “spiraled out of control” around the time when he was filming Seth Rogen’s movie “Neighbors.” The film was shot rather quickly in April. A source connected to the film commented, “It was common knowledge that [Zac] was suffering because of cocaine.”

Three different individual sources have confirmed that Zac’s issue was definitely cocaine. They report that the also occasionally used Ecstasy, the popular night club and rave drug. People with intimate knowledge of the film shooting note that Zac would often times be a “no show” when he was supposed to be on the set. For a number of days the actor would not be available and would completely be out of touch, and for several days Zac would be gone. No one would know where he was or when he would show up to the movie set.

Earlier this year what happened in Vegas did not stay in Vegas. Zac along with several friends went on a massive coke binge at the MGM Grand’s Sky Lofts. The cocaine fueled party went on and on and caused “around $50K in damage.” Fans of the actor will hope that he cleans up his act, and gets back to acting.
