Fork Removed From 70 Year Old’s Penis

The journal of International Surgery Cases published a very strange report earlier this month. A 70 year old man from Australia was admitted to the hospital with a 4 inch fork stuffed up into his urethra. The man was rushed to the hospital with a bleeding urethra. He was luckily assisted in time, while the report says, “the fork was successfully removed using forceps and “copious lubrication.”

The authors of the report note that this is not the first time than a man has tried to insert foreign objects into their nether regions. Anything from “pens, safety pins, telephone cables, glue, cocaine, straws, marbles, light bulbs, and snakes, among other strange things” have been found stuck in penises before. The authors of the report noted that when people are uninhibited, they can be creative about certain things, according to the Huffington Post.

According to a 2010 study from the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine, ‘Putting lead in your pencil’: self-insertion of an unusual urethral foreign body for sexual gratification, the “urological consequences of this type of behavior can be significant and the implications for patients can be serious including death from sepsis.” In short, it is a dangerous activity that has high cost for the short duration of Dopamine, oxytocin, adrenaline, and endorphins that the body will feel after orgasm is achieved.
