Sidley Austin Expands Houston Office with Capital Markets Partner Tim Langenkamp

Sidley Austin LLP announced today that they are expanding the firm’s Houston, TX, office by bringing in Timothy C. Langenkamp as a partner in the Securities/Capital Markets practice group. Langenkamp joins Sidley from Andrews Kurth LLP, another Houston-area AM Law 200 firm, where he focused primarily on representing underwriters and issuers in debt and equity capital markets transaction, with an emphasis on offerings by master limited partnerships. Langenkamp also has experience counseling clients on securities law compliance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other general corporate and securities matters.

“Tim is a talented capital markets lawyer with an exceptional reputation in the Houston legal community, and we are excited to bring him on board,” said Larry Barden, Vice Chair of Sidley’s Management Committee.

Sidley’s Houston office was only opened in 2012, (the firm’s 18th office worldwide,) but business has been thriving, necessitating expansion in order to better serve the firm’s clients in the area. Langenkamp is the 30th attorney at the office, and he follows the hiring of Timothy J. Devetski, who was brought into the firm as a tax partner.

“Tim is a well-regarded capital markets lawyer in Houston,” said Devetski. “We are very pleased to have him join us and continue our momentum in Houston.”
