Lindsay Lohan’s New Lawyer Acquires Sponsor

Last week, Shawn Holley was fired by Lindsay Lohan as her attorney. Now, she has hired New York attorney Mark Heller. Heller is going to represent Lohan in her case that charged her with lying to cops in Los Angeles.

Now, Heller needs someone to sponsor him who is licensed to practice law in California, according to TMZ. The woman he chose to sponsor him has not practiced law in the state for 17 years. That’s right, she has not practiced in the state since 1996.

The woman’s name is Lindsay Berger Sacks. She was admitted to the California bar back in 1994 and became inactive just two years later. This means that she is not allowed to practice any longer in the state.

Berger Sacks is a co-founder of the Doheny Dining Club and is a Los Angeles socialite. She reportedly reactivated her membership with the bar last week. She reactivated her membership three days prior to Heller filing to become Lohan’s representative and Heller listed Berger Sacks as his sponsor.

It appears that Holley is completely out of the picture for Lohan because Heller asked that the case file be sent to Berger Sacks so he can begin to review it. Berger Sacks did not comment on the issue.
