The winner of the auction, the Japanese known only by the name Natsu, faced strong competition from an Indian, Rudra Chatterjee, and American bidders Jack Miller and Jack Right. In the same auction, Alex Stepanov, the male counterpart of Catarina and a student studying in Sydney, was able to get only $3000 for his virginity from a Brazilian woman.
The Australian filmmaker said the deal would be consummated soon. He said, “We will fly over the winner to Australia and obviously, for the sake of the film and privacy, we can’t disclose where and when the act will take place.”
Obviously, Mr. Sisley is extremely concerned about the privacy of his clients. The terms of the auction include the compulsory use of a condom and the winner would be first tested for sexually transmittable diseases prior to the close encounter.
Though many have criticized Catarina for her decision, she says, “If you do it once in your life then you are not a prostitute, just like if you take one amazing photograph, it does not automatically make you a photographer.”
She insists, “The auction is just business, I’m a romantic girl at heart and believe in love.”
