Home? Didn’t see it.

Yesterday I think I saw half of Kansas City, but not my own home! I was out and about running errands, but having a great time, all day!

I started off by running a few errands, one of which included checking out TJ Maxx to see if I could find any holiday dresses.

Shopping outfit!

P.S. the TJ Maxx mirrors are super flattering. If you need a self confidence boost, just go stand in the TJ Maxx dressing room.

I tried out this red dress, and texted this picture to my friend, Maddie. Although the $20 price tag was tempting, we decided it was an awkward length (yes, I text pictures of myself in the dressing room to her to get an opinion… I’m indecisive).

Like my smart wool socks?

Another errand was checking out Target. I was OVERWHELMED. Their Christmas section was insane, and they had just about every product on the planet, but Christmasified.

I was also shocked when I saw that Target carries Greek yogurt now! Target is seriously stepping up it’s game, not that it’s ever been sub par. I love being home, because I can go to Target… I could spend hours in that store.

After a bunch of errands, I met up with Maddie for lunch at a local pizza place called Pizza 51. Maddie had gone there with her family and noticed that they had gluten free pizza crust, so I knew I had to check it out!

We each got a side salad, and then I got the 7” gluten free personal pizza and she got a normal slice. First off, their house made vinagarette was AMAZING. They told us there were fresh herbs (can’t remember which ones…) and olive oil and that was it. It was very green, but very fresh and delicious.

On my pizza I got spinach,  mushrooms, and a little bit of Romano cheese. It was absolutely delicious! Granted, I haven’t had pizza since August, so just about anything could have been fabulous, but this was really good. I definitely want to go back.

After having lunch, we headed out for a few more fun errands! Haha I told you , ALL DAY. I was gone from about 10:00am to 6:15pm!

We went to a Kansas City department store called Halls so that I could get some make up that I needed to replace, and then we checked out their ornaments. We’ve ended up doing this almost every year. Halls has tons of beautifully decorate trees and baskets and baskets of amazing ornaments. We could have spent a solid hour or so going through them all. They have tons of themed ones, and we stumbled upon a great bunch. Alcohol themed ornaments:

We thought it was absolutely hilarious. Slightly tempted to find someone to buy the Bud Light one for, but figured not many people would actually put it up on their tree.

Another errand involved hitting up Forever 21, where Maddie got some tank tops she needed and I managed to find a simple black dress for holidays and maybe work this summer! While we were looking for those, we managed to find some other awesome items:

Wouldn’t that look good on her??

I just don’t understand Forever 21 sometimes, I mean they had to produce thousands of those. Does anyone buy these things?!?!?!

After a bunch more errands and dinner with my family, it was time to settle in to a delicious dessert:

I sliced up a Harry and David pear (we get them from some family friends every year) and covered it with some PB2 flour mixed with almond milk and a bit of apple sauce, and carob chips. It was perfect and delicious.

What do you think of some of the crazier items at Forever 21? Too much?

What’s the most ridiculous ornament on your tree?
