17 construction lawyers have jumped ship as the disintegration of Howrey continues. 15 lawyers, led by partner and construction practice co-chair John Heisse, have moved to Pillsbury. The moves are spread out over four office. The other co-chair, Andrew Ness, moved to Jones Day in San Francisco along with one other partner. Jones Day picked up another seven construction partners from Howrey last month.
The lights haven’t gone out yet, but recent reports indicate that there is a rather rotund woman warming up her vocal chords. Morrison & Foerster also picked up a Howrey attorney yesterday, and in the last several days Paul Hastings, Sheppard Mullin and Kirkland & Ellis have all been destination firms for Howrey lawyers making a clean escape.
