Howse Williams Bowers Adds Two in Hong Kong

 

The law firm of Howse Williams Bowers has announced through a press release that it has added to its practice of Family and Matrimonial Law. The lawyers brought on by the firm include Karen Lam and Linda Heathfield. Lam is joining the firm as an associate and Heathfield is joining as a partner. The moves took effect beginning on September 1, 2012. With the new hires, there are now 70 partners, lawyers and staff members at HWB. The firm has also said that more hires will be announced in the near future.

 

In the 1980s, Heathfield was employed with Richards Butler Hong Kong as a solicitor. She specializes in matrimonial and family law. She is thought of as a top lawyer in the field in Hong Kong. Chris Howse said the following about the hiring of Heathfield and her team: “We are very pleased that Linda and her team have joined us. Linda is recognised as a leading practitioner in her field and she will provide an important and different area of expertise to the firm.”

Beginning in 2007, Lam was admitted in New South Wales, Australia to practice law. She began practicing law in Hong Kong in 2008. The practice run by Lam focuses on family law issues that include child custody, disputes, settlements, financial applications and injunctions. In Hong Kong, Lam has experience in litigation in the High Court, District Court and Family Court.
