Sidley Austin Adds 3 Partners to Executive Committee

Sidley Austin LLP has added three partners to its Executive Committee, bringing the total number of members to 45. The Committee exercises general authority over the affairs of the firm.

The new appointments are Samir A. Gandhi, Michael P. Goldman and Myles C. Pollin.

Mr. Gandhi is a partner in the New York office, and focuses his practice on private equity transactions and capital markets offerings. He also has extensive experience in advising private equity investors and sellers in a broad range of asset classes.

Michael P. Goldman, a partner in the Chicago office, is a global coordinator of the firm’s insurance practice and focuses his practice on the corporate representation of insurance companies and other insurance entities.

Myles C. Pollin, a partner in the New York office, focuses his practice on capital markets and corporate transactions, including structured finance, funds, corporate finance and restructurings.

In the press release at the firm’s website, Charles W. Douglas, Chair of the firm’s Management Committee was quoted as saying: “Sam, Mike and Myles have each shown a strong commitment to the success of the firm, in addition to their individual practices. I am confident that they will make significant contributions to the firm’s leadership.”
