Souter to Speak At Harvard Commencement

Supreme Court Justice David Souter will speak at Harvard University’s spring commencement ceremony. Souter is scheduled to speak on May 27 2010 (the school’s 359th commencement) in the Tercentenary Theatre of Harvard Yard. He was a Rhodes Scholar and earned his law degree from Harvard Law in 1966. Souter served on the Supreme Court from 1990 to 2009. He currently resides in Hopkinton, New Hampshire.

University President Drew G. Faust said in a statement, “The dedication, humility, and commitment to learning with which he has pursued his calling should be an inspiration to any young man or woman contemplating a career in public service.”
