facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Russell McVeaghRather than lay off under-productive attorneys, New Zealand law firm Russell McVeagh is encouraging its lawyers to increase their pro bono work until the global economy picks up.

Russell McVeagh has been providing lawyers for one day a week at community law centers in Mangere and Wellington for decades.

The firm also provides lawyers for Cure Kids, the Karori Sanctuary Trust, the New Zealand Film Festival Trust.

Russell McVeagh, formerly Russell McVeagh McKenzie Bartleet & Co, is one of New Zealand’s “big three” top law firms. The firm was formed in 1863, and operates from offices in Auckland and Wellington.

what is it about people like Russell McVeagh that don’t understand that money is not the bottom line for every New Zealander, when they reject the kind of reforms of Douglas and Richardson and now Hide/Douglas/Key/Brash which won’t happen overnight but will happen in 2011, a few short days after the election no doubt. (re one of his columns on his website)

People who want to pursue money instead of a wellrounded life including money should leave New Zealand. There are so many damaged countries like US, who will be happy to chew up these people and spit them out. New Zealand has a better future for its people in mind. Key can’t provide that. He is the puppet of people who will not allow him to detour once the farce of this term’s Nice Mr Key playacting is done.
