Oregon Attorney Erik Graeff Arrested Again

Summary: Portland, Oregon attorney Erik Graeff was arrested again after a search of his home for his gun charges revealed drug paraphernalia.

The Portland, Oregon practicing attorney arrested for firing off several rounds into a fellow Oregon attorney’s office in December is facing additional charges. Erik Graeff, who lives across the state line in Washington, has now been accused of manufacturing methamphetamine and possessing pseudoephedrine with the intent to manufacture, according to the Legal Reader.

The 43-year-old attorney had multiple charges added to a probable cause affidavit after police searched his home following his arrest for shooting at the office of an attorney he worked with on a case. The affidavit detailed how the police officers found a meth lab in his basement and chemicals, glass cookware, heating plates and a glass jar with meth inside. In a hall closet, several boxes of pseudoephedrine and a computer with notes and videos on how to produce meth and MDMA were found.

The authorities also found videos in the basement of an unknown man attempting to manufacture Safrole, which is used to produce MDMA, also known as ecstasy or Molly. Two 9mm handguns, one of which was loaded, were also seized from the home.

Graeff was originally arrested for unlawful use of a weapon and recklessly endangering another person. These charges came from him shooting the law office of Terrence Hogan in Beaverton, Oregon. Hogan was not in the office at the time of the shooting but a receptionist was. One of the bullets shot through an office window and struck her workspace, narrowly missing her.

Graeff apparently had sent an email to Hogan the next day after the shooting, which stated, “Terry, I’m sorry I lost my temper yesterday, but you are not funny anymore with your threats. You’re just an (expletive). This case is your foul up. You should have taken charge of it after I filed it, I’ve don’t the best I can. With that off my chest, Merry Christmas buddy.”

He had already been released on bail when he was arrested again by the police for the drug paraphernalia. His bail is now set at $25,000.
