Kim Kardashian Wins Legal Victory against Former Friend Blac Chyna

Summary: A judge has dismissed Blac Chyna’s lawsuit against Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner.

Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner were given a temporary legal victory on Thursday. According to People Magazine, the reality stars’ request to have a lawsuit filed by Blac Chyna dismissed was granted. In October, Chyna sued the glamorous family for allegedly destroying season 2 of her reality show and ruining her brand.

On Thursday, Judge Randolph M. Hammock ruled in favor of Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner. He stated that Chyna never had a contract for season 2 of her reality show, “Rob and Chyna” and was therefore not entitled to it.

Chyna dated Kim Kardashian’s brother, Rob Kardashian, and they had one baby together, Dream. Chyna and Rob Kardashian’s unusual love affair was documented on their show, but it quickly fell apart, resulting in a public meltdown from Rob.

“Rob and Chyna” aired on the E! Network, which declined to order a second season. Chyna then sued the entire Kardashian family, claiming they used their influence to get her show off of the air, but insiders stated that the network could not shoot a show because Chyna refused to be in the same room as her estranged beau. In the Jenner-Kardashian response to the lawsuit, they said it was Chyna’s fault she didn’t have a show, not theirs.

Chyna is represented by Lisa Bloom, who infamously represented accused sexual harasser Harvey Weinstein, and Vanessa Hooker. The judge granted them a chance to amend their complaints, and Bloom said that they will move forward.

“This was their attempt to have some of the issues dismissed because they alleged we didn’t properly plead them,” Bloom told People. “So the judge gave us leave to amend, which means the judge is allowing us to do another version of the complaint to add some allegations. [The Kardashians] will then probably come back and say it’s still not sufficient and we’ll probably be back and argue it again.”

Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian are represented by Shawn Holley and Patricia Millet. Millet told reporters, “We don’t think they can fix it.”

Chyna sued other members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, including Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Kendall Jenner. She dropped them from her lawsuit, but she is still suing her ex, Rob Kardashian, claiming that he verbally and physically abused her.

Although sometimes estranged from his family, Rob Kardashian seemed to agree with them that it was Chyna’s fault there was no second season. According to the Daily Mail, he said that Chyna had filed a restraining order against him, which made it impossible to make a show.
