Police Report Filed against Corey Feldman for Groping

Summary: A woman recently filed a police report with the Los Angeles Police Department, alleging that Corey Feldman groped her last year.

Corey Feldman has helped lead the fight against predators in Hollywood, but he is now finding himself on the other side of the line. An unidentified woman filed a police report Monday with the Los Angeles police department for sexual battery, alleging Corey Feldman was the aggressor.

Feldman, 46, “vehemently denies” the allegations that he touched the woman inappropriately roughly a year ago in February 2017. In an email to Fox New from his rep, it states that Corey “vehemently denies these egregious accusations. It goes against everything he believes in and is fighting for – victim protection and stopping inappropriate behavior toward both children and adults.”

The LAPD confirmed via email that they indeed received a report. “We can confirm that a crime report was taken by LAPD on 1/8/18 listing Corey Feldman as a suspect in a sexual battery report,” the email stated. The department’s robbery-homicide detectives are taking the investigation.

According to TMZ, the woman claims the actor grabbed her butt. His rep told PEOPLE that his “attorneys are dealing with these egregious accusations and threats that came from Corey’s former band members after he canceled his tour. Corey remains focused on his mission to fight the war of inappropriate behavior towards men and woman of all ages. Give his own painful experiences, the last thing he would ever want to do is make anyone else feel the way that he did. He is confident that the motives behind these false accusations will be revealed and that the truth will prevail. He also thanks his fans for their continued love, support and belief in him.”

Throughout 2017, Feldman has been on a mission to out Hollywood’s dangerous predators. He claimed during an appearance on The Dr. Oz Show to have given the names of predators who have abused him and fellow child actor Corey Haim to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office in 1993 during an investigation into Michael Jackson. Feldman explained that nothing was ever done regarding their claims of sexual abuse back then. The department originally denied having such a recording of that interview but have since validated his claims.

In December, Santa Barbara officials stated, “Following the recent inquiries into the Sheriff’s Office interview of Mr. Feldman in 1993, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office conducted an additional review for any stored items remaining from the Michael Jackson investigation. In a container which included the original reports from the investigation, the Sheriff’s Office located some detective working copies of audio recordings made during the investigation. A copy of Mr. Feldman’s interview was located. The recording is being turned over to the Los Angeles Police Department. Due to the fact that this case involves the alleged sexual abuse of a child, we are unable to comment further and any documentation or evidence related to this case is exempt from release.”

Feldman had filed his own lawsuit just two months ago with the LAPD for sexual assault. However, due to the statute of limitation, the investigation was stopped.

A TV movie – A Tale of Two Coreys – appeared on Lifetime just last week. The movie explored the sexual abuse he claims to have experienced as a child star. He hopes the movie will continue to raise awareness of what he and his late best friend suffered from at the hands of Hollywood’s entertainment executives. Feldman is currently raising funds to produce his own movie documenting his story, stating “it’s time to use our voices.”
