30 Minute Outdoor Total Body High Intensity Interval Workout

Summary: Why not take your workout outdoors? Spending time outdoors is good for your health, so if it’s warm where you are, try this great outdoor workout.

In many places across the country, it’s been unseasonably warm the past few months, so why not take advantage of that beautiful weather and get your workout done outside rather than in a stuffy gym? Even if you’re rolling your eyes right now because there’s a foot of snow outside, keep this workout in your back pocket for summer or even if you get the chance for a warm weather getaway. While gyms and even at-home workouts are great, spending time in the outdoors is good for your health, both mental and physical. To get your workout on in the great outdoors, try this 30-minute total body high intensity interval workout.

5 Minute Warm Up Jog

For each interval, you’ll do 30 seconds of a move and then have a 30 second break before moving on to the next move. Give it all you’ve got during those 30 seconds because they’ll be over before you know it! Go through the moves below once, take a one minute break, then go again!

  1. High knees
  2. Push ups
  3. Uphill sprint (if you don’t have a hill, use stairs or just sprint!)
  4. Squats
  5. Mountain climbers
  6. Tricep dips (on a bench or the ground)
  7. Burpees
  8. Bicycle crunches
  9. Skater jumps
  10. Jumping lunges

One-minute break, then REPEAT!

4 Minute Cool-Down Walk

Be sure to stretch afterwards!
