Elderly Man Destroys Kim Kardashian Selfie Books

Summary: A elderly man destroyed copies of the celebrity’s “Selfish” book at a Barnes & Noble in Connecticut because of his “dislike of her and people like her.”

A 74-year-old Barnes and Noble customer was not happy when he saw Kim Kardashian’s book on their shelves. Carl Puia was arrested in Connecticut for vandalizing copies of the reality star’s latest book, “Selfish.” While Puia may not be alone in his dislike of Kardashian and those like her, his actions were not the best choice.

Puia damaged six copies of Kardashian’s book of selfies at the Barnes & Noble near his Glastonbury home. He allegedly poured “a red liquid” over the books in October. He then “left a lengthy typed note for Barnes & Noble stating his dislike for Kim Kardashian and people like her,” according to the police report.

An arrest warrant was issued for Puia, who turned himself in. He was charged with vandalism. He was free on $2500 bond and will appear in court on March 22 for the misdemeanor criminal mischief charge.

“Selfish” was published in 2015. The book contains hundreds of photos she took of herself.
